Metal Ninja Studios Assumes Project Management and Design Responsibilities for Key Publishing Ventures

ORLANDO, FLORIDA 09/23/2023 - Metal Ninja Studios, a full-service comic book production company, is proud to announce its expanded role in the publishing industry by taking over project management, design, and print production for Merc Publishing, Black Ops Publishing and Legends Publishing. In addition, Metal Ninja Studios will be handling design and print production for exclusive covers and associated marketing materials for comic book retail giant Comics Elite.

Merc Publishing began as a chance encounter in a parking lot, right at the crossroads of Indiana and Missouri, where the creative minds of Shawn Hudachko, owner of Comics Elite, and comic artist Jamie Tyndall came together to exchange comics and ideas. Little did they know, this meeting would lay the foundation for an extraordinary universe.

During this fortuitous encounter, amidst discussions and brainstorming, the building blocks of a remarkable universe started taking shape. This universe would be teeming with mercenaries, Spartans, and a tech genius donning a vibrant pink battle suit. The seeds of creativity planted in that parking lot soon sprouted into a grand vision for an expansive and thrilling universe.

Metal Ninja Studios found its place within that universe by being the exclusive letterer for their publishing line. As Merc’s design and production needs grew, Metal Ninja Studios stepped in to provide a streamlined end-of-process production experience. With Merc Publishing’s reputation for excellence and track record of delivering high-quality products, Metal Ninja Studios is ready to build upon those strengths as it extends into the realms of Black Ops Publishing, Legends Publishing and the Comics Elite retail outlets.

For Comics Elite, Metal Ninja Studios' responsibilities will encompass design and print production for exclusive covers, ensuring a seamless and visually stunning product for the discerning comic book community.

For Merc Publishing, Black Ops Publishing and Legends Publishing, Metal Ninja Studios will oversee critical aspects of their projects, including Kickstarter campaign management, book design, and fulfillment. This transition represents a significant milestone in the growth and expansion of the Metal Ninja Studios brand.

The owner and CEO of Metal Ninja Studios, and former Head of Design at Scout Comics, Joel Rodriguez, conveyed his enthusiasm for the opportunity: "I can't express how happy I am to take Metal Ninja Studios and the Merc/Black Ops publishing umbrella to the next stages of our continued growth! I've been with Merc since the beginning, and it's been a wild ride growing alongside what Shawn, Jamie, and Murphey have built. While this adjustment is bittersweet in Murphey's departure, I look forward to the exciting things that the Metal Ninja Studios team can bring to these amazing companies, further utilizing our skills to help everyone involved achieve new levels and reach their creative dreams!"

Metal Ninja Studios remains committed to delivering exceptional services and elevating the creative endeavors of its partners. With this strategic move, the company solidifies its position as a powerhouse in the publishing industry, bringing fresh ideas and innovative solutions to both individual comic book creators and publishing outlets.
